Named 2023’s Best Chocolatier in the Americas, Nicole Patel is the owner of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. In 2006 while pregnant with her first son, Nicole made a batch of homemade chocolate truffles as last-minute holiday gifts. To the delight of friends and family, she continued to create chocolate treats as a way to relieve stress from her corporate engineering job, launching Delysia Chocolatier in 2008.
As a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Nicole ran the corporate Six Sigma program worldwide for an Austin-based technology company for six years. She continued her engineering career as a Director of Quality for a small engineering firm until the fall of 2016 when she transitioned to running Delysia Chocolatier full time.
